Simultané: connections in colour : Colour in research, books and everyday play

Sonia Delaunay-Terk stond bekend om haar vrije en intuïtieve gebruik van kleur. Haar werk vervaagde de grenzen tussen disciplines: beeldende kunst, toegepastekunst en decoratieve kunst vloeiden in elkaar over. Onlangs verwierf de bibliotheek Jeu de cartes Simultané, een kaartspel ontworpen door Delaunay-Terk. Deze bibliotheektentoonstelling plaatst het kaartspel in dialoog met andere werken uit de rijke collecties van de bibliotheek en het museum. Drie thema’s vormen het uitgangspunt: kleur en onderzoek, het kunstenaarsboek en alledaags spelen. - Sonia Delaunay-Terk was known for her free and intuitive use of colour. Her work blurred the boundaries between disciplines: visual arts, applied arts, and decorative arts merged together. The library recently acquired Jeu de cartes Simultané, a card deck designed by Delauney-Terk. This library exhibition places the card game in dialogue with other works from the rich collections of the library and the museum.
