Workshop Tar for Mortar

What does food mean to us and how do we deal with it when it is gone? In the workshop Tar for Mortar - on November 5 - the artist duo Comfort Ball (Bin Koh & Sumin Lee) will discuss food culture before and after the food crisis, as a result of the climate crisis. There is only a very limited number of places available. There are 3 different time slots to join.

What are you going to do?

In the workshop, the artist duo connects past and present by creating a setting in a speculative future. During the workshop, participants make Dasik: a recipe from East Asia from the 7th-11th centuries that is made from dried ingredients and grain syrup. While they listen to age-old stories about the meaning of food.

The workshop takes place in the exhibition The space between us, where a work by Comfort Ball can also be seen. The space between us makes us think about the function of design and the role that designers, social movements and the museum play in this. The space between us can be seen until November 19, 2023.
