Children’s Art Club: Create and play like a bat!

Discover the artist within – with a touch of mystery 

Do you love looking at art and creating your own masterpieces? Join the Children’s Art Club at the Van Abbemuseum! Every Saturday afternoon, children aged 6 to 12 embark on a creative adventure. 

This time, we’re doing something truly special… 

In this unique edition, we’ll meet the Moko Jumbie: a tall, mysterious figure towering above us, able to see things we cannot. A wandering protector, a little like a ghost or a bat, drifting around the Van Abbemuseum. 

Together, we’ll explore the invisible and ghostly in our lives – the things that protect us but remain unseen. What does your protector look like? We’ll create our very own cape, lined on the inside with your imagination.

• When: January 31st from 10:00 - 12:00 or 14:00 - 16:00 
• Who: children 6 to 12 years
• Price: €7.50 per child 

Led by Experienced museum educators. This Children’s Art Club is a special edition for the new exhibition Make Some Noise: Desire. Stage. Change., the ninth and final instalment of Positions – a series that has provided space for experimentation and distinctive artistic voices for over a decade.
