True Counterpower #4

On 19 February six activist organizations will provide training on their methods of resistance and how they create space for exchange. In addition, they tell us more about building revolutionary friendships and collective exploration of ideas that currently comprise the True Counterpower movement in the Netherlands. Participation is free.

The programme:

• 12:30 to 1:00 PM - Registration at the cash register + reception with coffee and tea in Museum as Parliament
• 1:00 to 1:15 PM - Welcome by Steven ten Thije (Head of collections Van Abbemuseum), Serda Demir and Iliada Charalambous (organisers of True Counterpower)
• 1:15 to 2:25 PM - Session 1: Workshop by Papaya Kuir & Revolutionaire Eenheid
• 2:40 to 3:50 PM - Session 2: Workshop by Colored Qollective & Woonprotest 
• 3:50 to 4:05 PM - Break
• 4:05 to 5:15 PM - Session 3: Workshop by Aralez & Belgian Labor Union ACV Puls 
• 5:15 to 5:30 PM - Break
• 5:30 to 6:30 PM - Q & A with ACV Puls, collective reflection and closing
• 7:00 to 9:00 PM - Dinner at Café Burgers

About True Counterpower

True Counterpower is a series of workshops and trainings which take place in the installation Museum as Parlement in the Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven. This room is an artwork where the stateless democracy of the Rojava Revolution in Northern-Syria takes central stage. The True Counterpower series of workshops and trainings are organized and programmed by Serda Demir and Iliada Charalambous. The Museum as Parliament committee consists of: Iliada Charalambous, Serda Demir, Charles Esche, Murat Memis, Jonas Staal and Steven Ten Thije.
