Special edition Children's Art Club

Are you between 5 and 12 years old and do you like to draw? The Van Abbemuseum invites you to join us in drawing in the Eindhoven countryside! On 31 July, under the guidance of a workshop teacher, you will draw cows and landscapes at the Genneper Hoeve in Eindhoven.

During the workshop, we will be inspired by artist Wapke Feenstra's project Cow and Landscape, now on display in the exhibition Soils. Paper, drawing materials and chairs will be provided from the museum. You are free to bring your own drawing materials. In case of heavy rain, we will provide an indoor location. Please bring a coat in any case.

About the Cow and Landscape project

In the project Cow and Landscape, Wapke Feenstra, together with farmers, looks at this Dutch cliché and uses photos, drawings and interviews to depict changes in the countryside.

About Soils

The exhibition Soils is a plea to connect with the soil; how do we take care of our soil, as the soil takes care of us? Soils gives an insight into how artists from different parts of the world connect with the earth in their own ways. The exhibition embraces these differences without flattening them, but instead makes us think about how we can learn from each other, support each other and build relationships. Soils is on show at the Van Abbemuseum from 15 June to 24 November 2024.
