part 83 (rhythm)

What happens when a book comes to life? During Part 83 (rhythm), it is part of an ensemble uses experimental books from their Van Abbehuis residency as a starting point for music, text and movement. They read aloud, make sounds and respond to one another. Sometimes someone begins with a text, a note or a gesture. Others then join in. This gives rise to a collaborative performance featuring words, sounds and movement. Every performance is different.

“it is part of an ensemble” is a multidisciplinary Dutch art collective founded in 2018. The group, which operates at the intersection of visual art and theatre, creates immersive, site-specific scenographies and brings together a changing group of artists, performers and theorists.

To attend part 83 (rhythm), sign up is not necessary. A museum ticket is required. The event will be held in English.
