Performance

On Sunday September 10, Raziyah Heath (Metro54) will be in conversation with sound designer and artist Mohale Motlali, aka X14, who also created the sound piece for this exhibition that can now be heard in the exhibition Positions #7: Everything worthwhile is done with other people. They will go into depth about working with teenage students, language barriers and their sonic practice. X14 will immerse us in a short live performance with sound fragments of high school students from Amsterdam (ABC Noorderlicht College) mixed with his own material. We are also joined this afternoon by the presence of Roger Buyne aka YouthLost of SoulTrash and spoken word artist and writer Smita James. They will contribute this afternoon with poetic offerings. We will speak on subjects of feeling at home, what youth represents and the power of projecting oneself into the future/imagination. The language of this event is English.
