On Saturday 19 September 2026, from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm, join artist Ayumi Paul for a special listening meditation at the Van Abbemuseum’s Dommelplein. As one of the museum’s System Thinkers, Paul collaborates with the Van Abbemuseum Choir and invites participants to slow down, listen attentively, and experience sound in new ways.
Through a series of simple breathing and listening exercises, Ayumi Paul explores how attention, resonance and sound connect us with one another and with our surroundings. The session offers an opportunity to become more aware of what we hear, feel and perceive, both individually and collectively. The listening meditation concludes with a shared sonic experience in which everyone is invited to take part.
Participation is free of charge, but advance booking is required. The event will be conducted in English.

About Ayumi Paul & System Thinkers
Since January 2026, Ayumi Paul has been working with the Van Abbemuseum Choir as part of the long-running System Thinkers programme. System Thinkers is an ongoing Van Abbemuseum initiative in which artists, thinkers and visitors come together to explore how we are connected through wider social, ecological and technological systems, and how art can help us experience and understand these relationships in new ways.
