An introduction to the work of El Lissitzky

This publication by John Milner is released on occasion of the exhibition Lissitzky+. The archive from the Van Abbemuseum was a vital source of information to Milner during his study of El Lissitzky's creative practice.
From the foreword of the writer: "El Lissitzky's theatrical, graphic and architectural designs reveal recurrent themes and transformations, and the annotated studies for an 'elektromechanical' production of Victory over the Sun offer new insights". The book also contains many images.

Opening times: Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 to 17:00. The museum is closed on Monday, with the exception of public holidays. The museum is closed on New Year's Day, King's Day and Christmas Day. The Van Abbemuseum is open until 21:00 on the first Thursday evening of the month, admission to the museum is free from 17:00 on those nights. The museum cafe is also open until 21:00 on these evenings. We offer an internet connection via WIFI in the whole museum.
