Presentation The Innocent Eye

Project by Roland Schimmel

21/06/2012
18:00 - 21:00

The mural created by artist Roland Schimmel (Hooglanderveen, 1954) at the Van Abbemuseum, was finished in early May. Yet the work still constantly changes under shifting natural light. Given that the sun plays such a key role in the work there will be an official presentation on June 21, the day the sun is highest in the sky.
At 19.30 h Charles Esche (director Van Abbemuseum) and Mark Kremer (curator and writer) will give an introduction and personal reflection on the work, in the presence of the artist.

DYI BBQ

From 18.00 hours there will be the possibility to enjoy the ‘Pete’s DIY BBQ package’ at the Museum Café for €10 a person (drinks not included). Reservation for the BBQ is required: Reserve

The Innocent Eye will be on show at the Van Abbemuseum until 30 September 2012
