This project started with a week-long workshop aiming to investigate the aesthetic and physical form of the demonstration as a means of protest and asks: why the demonstration is still adopted by groups across the world? Is this very physical, spatially specific form still relevant in the context of the much more expanded possibility of online community action? And what does it mean when contemporary art and design adopts the aesthetics of demonstration?
