This trio exhibition spotlights each individual practice, while also allowing one to engage with the potential relations between the artists’ positions. your-space targets creative dynamics and social engagement and therefore aims to broaden the roam of the input from the museum. your-space invited three relatively young, proven artists to relate to the broader artistic and cultural roam of a trioartist from the museum. Rachel Koolen, Josepha de Jong and Simone van Dijken will realise work that relates to respectively, Jo Baer, Lynda Benglis en Jutta Koether. The quite static presentation in the museum will posit itself with the broader, related sphere of the your-space subtrio. As a support program, the Ongemotiveerd Kunstenaars Collectief (Unmotivated Artists Collective), a group of four recent graduates got together to fiercely enter the arena. With combinations of performance, photography, fashion statements and other means they bring an eclectic sum of role patterns, stereotypes, campy manifestations and counter positions. This collective will relate their work to the overall thematic of the trioexhibition.
