Déjà Vu discusses a tendency in the history of artist books in which publications are put together with pictures of found objects. These objects often consist of postcards, posters and documentation from magazines or can be a collection of snapshots by amateur photographers, like stereotype family pictures, holiday perils or hotel room views.

This way known nicknacks are elevated to a personal artists archive and published as peculiarities in a book. With books by Hans Peter Feldmann, Allen Ruppersberg, Céline Duval, Peter Fischli & David Weiss, Wolfgang Tillmans and Edward Ruscha.

Opening times: Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 to 17:00. The museum is closed on Monday, with the exception of public holidays. The museum is closed on New Year's Day, King's Day and Christmas Day. The Van Abbemuseum is open until 21:00 on the first Thursday evening of the month, admission to the museum is free from 17:00 on those nights. The museum cafe is also open until 21:00 on these evenings. We offer an internet connection via WIFI in the whole museum.
