Wonderful Words and Compelling Images

This year Korein Kinderplein organized The Workshop for the third time. More than 5500 children aged 8 to 13 years created their own artwork. The most notable works can be seen in the Van Abbemuseum from April 25 until May 9.

The underlying theme of this years workshop is Wonderful Words and Compelling Images. The children found images that match certain words, poems, stories and works from the collection of the museum and combined these images in 3D mobiles.
During the sunny opening on April 25, the winners' family and friends came to the museum to admire the 3D mobiles. It was a festive day!

Opening times: Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 to 17:00. The museum is closed on Monday, with the exception of public holidays. The museum is closed on New Year's Day, King's Day and Christmas Day. The Van Abbemuseum is open until 21:00 on the first Thursday evening of the month, admission to the museum is free from 17:00 on those nights. The museum cafe is also open until 21:00 on these evenings. We offer an internet connection via WIFI in the whole museum.
