20/05/2008 - 01/08/2008
Location: Van Abbemuseum: Library

'Portfolio with a staple’ is an exhibition about the history of the magazine Daylight (1979-1982). Three staples, holding things in place, also stand for the bond between the alternating group of artists, designers and printers that made the magazine. They toyed around with second-hand composers and photo editors, making printed matter using lith film, line film and raster film using discarded graphic cameras. Mostly made in screen print and offset, they used letterpress in various types, some copying work and above all a lot of handcrafting.
