THE PROMOTORS SUPPORT NEW ACQUISITIONS

Stichting Promotors Van Abbemuseum brings together businesses that give financial support to the museum for its major acquisitions. This foundation of corporate museum patrons provides annual donations that amount to more than one third of the museum's budget for new acquisitions. Its generosity has already enabled the purchase of several key works. Notable examples are Tapis de Sable by Marcel Broodthaers, Proun P23, no. 6 by El Lissitzky, and the bronze Listening Figure with Balcony by Juan Muñoz.

Opening times: Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 to 17:00. The museum is closed on Monday, with the exception of public holidays. The museum is closed on New Year's Day, King's Day and Christmas Day. The Van Abbemuseum is open until 21:00 on the first Thursday evening of the month, admission to the museum is free from 17:00 on those nights. The museum cafe is also open until 21:00 on these evenings. We offer an internet connection via WIFI in the whole museum.
